The attackers allegedly took offence over jokes he made about actor Veer Pahariya, grandson of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, who had recently made his debut with Sky Force.
One of the attackers reportedly threatened, “Agli Baar Veer Pahariya baba pe joke maarke dikha!” making it clear that worse consequences would follow if he dared to joke about Veer Pahariya again.

In the now viral video, audience member Himanshu Jangra was heard saying in Hindi that since he had spent Rs 370, he expected physical intimacy in return. Pranit laughed at the remarks and called it “Peak Gurgaon Content” during the interaction, which drew massive backlash.
Several celebrities and content creators, including Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, Sakshi Shivdasani, and Uorfi Javed, criticised More’s handling of the situation.
Cases were registered against both Pranit More and the audience member Himanshu Jangra on charges related to obscenity and sexual harassment.
More and Jangra, along with another comedian Madhur Virli, subsequently appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) on June 22, 2026.
